Our legendary Schweinshaxe emerges golden and crackling from the oven, paired with wild garlic potato salad celebrating the fleeting spring season. A dish that demands rolled-up sleeves and a proper appetite.
Vienna's most noble dish — prime beef simmered until tender, served with horseradish cream and chive sauce. The kind of Sunday supper that built empires.
Our legendary Wiener Schnitzel crowned with a bright salad of wild garlic, radish, and soft-boiled egg. Spring has arrived on your plate.
Established in May 2023, ZeitgeistBites is Shanghai's home for authentic Austrian-Bavarian cuisine. We are located inside Lidoway Food Street in Qingpu District — a car-free, family-friendly environment, close to international schools.
Our aim is simple: to bring genuine Gemütlichkeit — that uniquely Austrian sense of warmth and belonging — to China. Every detail, from the log-wall booths to the hand-pounded Schnitzel, is built around that one idea. We make everything from scratch, every day.
We as owners have families, and we built this place because Qingpu needed somewhere warm, genuine, and close to where families live.
The majority of our beverages are imports. Our draught selection represents the best of Austria and Bavaria — brewed to centuries-old traditions, served at the perfect temperature.
Our Weekend Brunch is one of Qingpu's best-kept secrets. Free-flow included from 11:00 to 15:00 — Rösti with smoked salmon, fresh Semmel rolls, Austrian egg dishes, and a tall Weißbier to start the weekend right.
No rush. Just good food, cold beer, and the pleasure of a leisurely Central European morning — in the middle of Shanghai.
